Jambi,(Antaranews Jambi) - The Sarolangun district government, Jambi Province, received an award from the Ministry of Home Affairs based on last year's Local Government Implementation Report (LPPD).

"Thank God, Sarolangun received the award for the LPPD from the Ministry of Home Affairs. For the Sumatra category, Sarolangun District ranked fourth, while for the Jambi Province category, the districts of Sarolangun and Merangin won the award," Head of the Sarolangun District Cek Endra noted here on Saturday.

He stated that the award was bestowed by the central government, through the Ministry of Home Affairs, to honor the success achieved by the Sarolangun district government in the field of governance.

Sarolangun competed with 139 districts in Indonesia to win the award for LPPD.

The LPPD award is based on the results of an objective assessment and evaluation of the performance of the government administration, ranging from public services to administrative and development planning transparency.

"This is one of the ministry's objective assessments, and we should be grateful to receive this award," he added.
