Jambi (ANTARA Jambi) - Jambi's trade balance left a surplus of  US$139.06 million  in July , up from US$120.71 million in the previous month.

Head of the Jambi branch of the Central Bureau of Statistics Yos Rusdiansyah said the province recorded a surplus in trade with most of its trading partners.

Deficits were recorded only in trade with  Malaysia, Britain and  Australia, Yos said here on Wednesday. 
   
The largest surplus  of US$85.64 million was recorded in trade with Thailand , he said.

In the first seven momnths of this year, Jambi recorded surplus at US$714.97 million , down from US$784 million in the same period last year. 

Exports by the province were valued at US$149.3 million in July, up 6.41 percent from US$140.30 million in the previous month.

Its imports  fell 47.73 percent to US$10.24 million  in July  from US$19.59  million in June.

Cumulatively its imports  in the January-July period in 2014 rose 38.26 percent  from the same period last year.(Ant)
